One thats slipped through the net, Powell's have commenced operation on a new 117 service between Rotherham and Bramley. Following the route of the old service 4 as far as Woodlaithes, before serving Woodlaithes Village and then running onto Flash Lane and Broadlands at Bramley. Timetable and route info at: bustimes.org/services/117-rotherham-bramley

Thanks for this. They need to re-instate the 18 to Dinnington, many people unhappy about changes to this long-serving route.

Thanks for this. They need to re-instate the 18 to Dinnington, many people unhappy about changes to this long-serving route. That one is a combination of staff making up their own route to maintain timings and ambitious timings causing the former. Timetable was impossible to run too and the price has been paid. Most now use the 19 and the 10 so are probably lost to them.

I suppose the loss of student trade with the closure of the college did not help either. I know a lot of students used to catch their afternoon service.

The info on the stand in Rotherham Interchange doesn’t tell you much, only states the departures but doesn’t say where it runs to or Via!

I suppose the loss of student trade with the closure of the college did not help either. I know a lot of students used to catch their afternoon service. That was one of the few trips the management actually insisted ran. The only others that were sure to run were the ones where the driver had his break in Dinnington. It was not unusual for buses to turn in Thurcroft or run light one way or the other. A very cavalier attitude from the staff.
