I have just read something about a Fitter being crushed by a B10M at Greenland Road Depot. This vehicle was said to be G622NWA. It is said the vehicle was moved to Doncaster as staff wouldn't drive it. Does anyone know when this happened and how it happened? Am I right to assume the fitter was killed? Why did the interior have to be refitted? Thanks.

Nigel Robinson was the poor bloke run over by 622 reversing over him while he was ironically working on the reverse alarm wiring. After a big H&S enquiry steering wheel covers and a completely re-arranged stacking system was brought in. Sadly a fitter was killed the day after at Rotherham depot crushed by a minibus coming off the Jack's, both buses were moved to Doncaster as per policy back then, 639 came the other way for 622.

Thanks for the info. Very sad. 1997 would explain the refurbishment then, as they were refurbishing these buses in to newer seat covers at this time, the probably did the re-fitting before it entered service at Doncaster.

Do you know if the man killed by 622 died on site or later in hospital?
