Notice has been given that Sheffield Interchange Toilets will now close at 19:00. Travel South Yorkshire's answer: use the train station toilets instead! I find this unacceptable, as though they are passing the buck to the railway station. They cite antisocial behaviour as the reason for the closure, it's well known that the toilets are a cottaging hotspot but I, as an adult should be responsible for my own risks. It's pretty vandal proof inside, tiled and strong panelled. Also, won't this simply displace any issues that these toilets have on to the railway station? As well as this, it's hardly practical to expect bus passengers to walk over to the railway station when they may have short connection times between journeys and may also have been holding their bladder for a long journey on their inward leg. The Interchange is supposed to be about providing comfort and convenience that you wouldn't get at a standard bus stop.
What do you all think about this? Are you going to be affected by this? Do you find the official alternative of "use the train station toilets instead" as laughable or do you support Travel South Yorkshire with their decision?

Two pubs close to interchange with toilets so won't make much difference.

That's taking the ... Well you know! How silly. How are people supposed to be encouraged to use public transport and get out of their cars? At least in a car you can stop at a services if needed. Finish a long run at Sheffield, sorry you cannot use the facilities. Maybe SY police need to get their act together and start punishing these idiots!
