Stagecoach taking it on, but no details have been published yet with it being a short notice award Blimey, that shocks me. Must have been the case that no-one else was able to bid. I used the 48 on Saturday and it was surprisingly busy. Around 10 people in total at various points in the route. It's a fairly tight route in places, Hulleys normally use a Solo, but have used an E200 on occasion, and the Evora very rarely.
Hope Stagecoach have capacity to run this though, even with the cuts to the 2/2A, 80 and 90 the things they were already taking on seemed to mean no reduction in actual vehicles / drivers. As there are still daily cancellations on other services that would suggest they are still short somewhere.

The incompetence of SYMCA's senior management never ceases to amaze me. They have put up a new timetable for the 22 Doncaster, removed all the day services, just included the subsidised evening ones, and failed to mention that any Sunday service even exists. Our depot manager at Worksop is going to talk to the commercial manager tomorrow morning as it is the first he knows about it. He also said the 19A is too busy to go down to every two hours on on Sunday. They do publish some rubbish. It's about time some disciplinary written warnings were dished out. They treat passengers with absolute contempt. A complaint has gone in, I am waiting for a phone call back. If you are at all unsure, don't publish it. We do still have a Sunday and daytime service, but will frighten people and pretend it has disappeared. I wouldn't mind but they took it down when I told them, then published the same thing 2 hours later. No SYMCA, this is your fault, the information is on your site, not the operators site. Get a grip or face the consequences. How many more mistakes with I find that are so glaringly obvious. Think BEFORE you publish. And you want to take control of the network? Lord help us. Update, it has since been taken down again, so we will watch this space! Is it not Stagecoach East Midlands that have supplied the timetable PDF? www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/en-gb/timetabledetails/7585412c-c97d-4f03-992c-8cdf6a921030

Is it not Stagecoach East Midlands that have supplied the timetable PDF? www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/en-gb/timetabledetails/7585412c-c97d-4f03-992c-8cdf6a921030The 19A timetable has just been published this afternoon and maybe right. The reason I was so annoyed was that a timetable for the 22 Doncaster, was published three days ago, with all the commercial daytime journeys deleted, and no Sunday service. Three evening services per day was clearly not right. Yet SYNCA still published it. Stagecoach didn't. If there are clear obvious errors, it should not be published, all it does is frighten people. They don't check or think until a customer points it out to them. This is people's lives they are playing with, and it has to stop. I have said it for years now, passengers and drivers should have a minimum of 28 days notices on any change. I have known us get as little as five. It takes the p*** People need to get to work, and know how the are going to get there. I would put money on it that not all timetables are up until 10 days before the changes come in. All these short notice changes the TC allows, it's stupid. SYMCA bicker till the last minute with the operators, and passengers are left in the larch once again. Interesting to see the number of services the operators are now running commercially in the evenings and on Sundays now. One thing I do know is that our depot manager is in for a shock if the 19A is right, because two days ago, he said no one had informed him about the Sunday changes, and that he didn't think customer numbers warranted a reduction.

Travel South Yorkshire have significantly messed up the new Saturday 399 timetable, showing just the two new journeys to Doncaster, but only between Scunthorpe and Haxey! The Haxey to Doncaster section (i.e. the bit that actually operates in South Yorkshire) is omitted, as are the Scunthorpe to Westwoodside 'shorts'
If anyone wants the actual new Saturday 399 timetable, it's on the Stagecoach website

It's a really poor show today on the 57 Stocksbridge route, every 2 hours and running 22 minutes late! With such an appalling frequency, you'd think this route could be protected to run on time. It's not as though there is rush hour traffic on a Sunday. The cynic in me thinks the service is being run down so people give up on it and it can be withdrawn.

Not there fault most of services running in town have been diverted and running late due to a cycle event.

I assume they closed Arundel Gate off, which the 57 doesn't run along anyway!

It affected Carver St, Furnival Gate, Arundal Gate, The Wicker and Sheaf St. Lots of late running and some cancellations by both First and Stagecoach.
