I rode on 220005 yesterday for the first time. I understand this was the train involved in the tragic and fatal knife attack in the Lake District in 2006. From what I have read, I do believe that the seat I sat in was the very seat where the attack happened. The emergency exit window was glazed differently to the other windows, sugfesting a post production repair had been made (it is reported that the attacker smashed his way out of the emergency exit to avoid incarceration)..
Since the attack, there have been reports from staff of strange goings on on this train. Noises that cannot be explained and sights that the scientific eye cannot see have been experienced.
I was aware of this when I boarded this unit. As I sat in the seat, I felt an overwhelming feeling of sadness. I believe I could feel an energy, despite being the only person in that part of the carriage. I am very familiar with the Bombardier intercity fleet, I know the noises they tend to make. However on 220005, I heard some strange noises from the door leading to the Train Manager's Office. It sounded similar to hailstones hitting it. The scratch marks around the luggage racks appeared red, despite most suitcases being painted black. I saw floating particles in the corner of my eyes several times during the journey. I felt an enourmous sense of gravity. I have sat in many a Voyager seat and never experienced a sensation like this.

I've travelled on this Voyager many many times (albeit mainly between Sheffield & Leeds). Can't say I've ever experienced anything remotely similar to the above though
