What has happened to the Stagecoach men that used to stand at bus stops in town and inspect tickets as passengers boarded, I believe they were Revenue Protection Officers? There used to be one on Church Street and a cheerful chap with glasses on Leopold Street, as well as one on Arundel Gate? I haven't seen them in a while. Always professional they were. Used to wear blue and grey high visibility coats if I recall correctly.

They were more customer service orientated queue busters selling tickets before boarding to speed things up. It was a short term trial I think. They were also used in a trial to put conductors on board as an alternative to driver sales to speed things up. Neither trial went permanent and I suppose with many tickets now purchased on an app or loaded to smart cards online things they weren't really needed anymore. Not sure if they retired, got made redundant or got drivers jobs!

They were Q-Busters, as stated above. Most went driving and I know one went driving for Stagecoach in Scotland
