While in town the other day, realised that the first DAF SB220 in the Sheffield fleet to be painted still has not been refurbished.

Yes, this bus still retains its red moquette seats, along with recently repainted 26102, which was painted at Chesterfield rather than Barnsley.
It seems (quite understandably) that outsourced repainted buses rarely get their seats re-upholstered. I believe the original repainted batch of B6BLEs at Holbrook (EFR ones) were done externally and thus still have that old seat cloth, whilst the more recently Barnsley repainted ones largely have Stagecoach seat cloth.

Although I'm not a great fan of it there are worse seating choices (the grey/orange/purple/lime etc moquette on the ex B&D DAF/Deltas comes to mind). However the cloth is rather worn on these buses and I personally think that the ones that have had the seats done in Stagecoach cloth do look far tidier inside.
