Yeah, thanks for that constructive comment. Its really pleasing to see that you thought that comment through before making it given that Doncaster is due a large number of brand new double deckers this year.
Presumably you prefer slightly newer Darts, which, if i recall, go zooming past you full on windy days. We can do a swap back if you want.

Well, thanks for that. Bascially you'd rather have 15 year old Darts over Optare Solos. We'll see whether certain communities served by them would agree when the low floor buses disappear.

i live in one of those certain communities and the solos aren't big enough for the routes they're used on

Well maybe, maybe not. There are several places where, if minibuses are not used they won't get a service at all. Some places have parking problems that just doesn't lend itself to big bus operation.
I would assume that we are talking here of either 67 or 68 journeys?

yes and the solos aren't very good when they operate the local school bus because it gets so full people have to wait for the next one

If i recall correctly, the schools journey(s) on 67 should be Olympian run. If said service passes a school at closing time and fills up when other buses run well i guess that's a bit hard luck. For clarity, what i'm saying is that if the 84 runs (or 81 or 82 or whatever) then catching and sardining a Solo is a bit silly and its hard luck.
That said the 67 and 68 are perfect for Solos, low to medium demand and some tight turns and estates. Putting on a decker or such for an odd schools working would be most unreasonable if it left the likes of 84/88 without.

hungerhill is no where near where the 84 goes and the 14:50 67 goes to Hungerhill and arrives at 15:14 then it goes on to kirk sandall as a school bus and this is normally operated by solos or darts and darts are better suited.
