Oh, that suggests they have been moved to Doncaster rather than scrapped. That's certain to upset one or two members of this forum... provided it is true. Anyone else have infor regarding this?
On a side note, the adverts on this page are brilliant, "A-Z Darts, Your One Stop Dart Shop"! Silly Google Ad-Words.

As has been suggested elsewhere, it appears Doncaster had a shortage of vehicles so the 'surplus' Darts were used. Presumably this outrageous news that no other operator would ever be so crass as to copy (MASS Titan clearly don't spring to mind!), is less satisfying than standing at a bus stop for a missing bus.
Come on guys, lets keep it in perspective. Not least - these buses will be going, but if they are taxed and tested and doing nothing, better to use them than be ignorant of them. Som call it initiative and co-operation, others clearly not.
And Vladimer - any chance of not "being over-joyed about another old bus for Doncaster" again? I wouldn't ask, but its getting a bit old now.

why doesn't first refurbish them? Aah, now we've changed heads then. I would advise you to read other threads as i think we've covered this in depth. Frankly given that they will be scrapped shortly why spend money refurbishing them?

wonder if you all understand that "vladimer" is the new bengoodman1992 or 007 as his undercover name.
vladimer, please dont go back to question after question, we had enough before and a Mod temperorly left the forum. Like has been suggested to you please have a look in other threads (possibly posted within the last 2-3 days) to see if you can find an answer to what you are looking for if it is a recent discussion.
And to clarify to you Doncaster were short of vehicles because some were unable to enter service that morning though is all sorted now.
good job they didnt have to operate the strictly low floor service between Sheffield and York with one of those darts eh?

these darts don't have any firstweek stickers which may mean that they'll be going to the scrap yard soon or they'll be in doncaster for a while or they might be used for driver training

Well, for a start they (it) have come from Sheffield where they carried "New Return Tickets Available" stickers. The fact that it wasn't replaced for its presumably short visit means nothing.

I don't see what all the fuss is about, however rubbish the buses may be, if there's a shortage and it's a choice between them or nothing...

Whats the fuss? Ah, a real question.
I really don't know. Like so many others this thread was started on the basis of a few Darts being stood down (a good thing?). It has morphed beyond recognition again.
Lets get back on track and only post about the short Darts:
Off road: 40162, 40556/7, 40977-9 DO (Loan): 40548

It seems the N-JUGs aren't quite dead yet - I saw one (think it was N278JUG, it was in B2 livery) on the 6 in Sheffield Interchange today. On the bright side, maybe that means they've scrapped some B6s instead?
