40978 as well? Oh well, i guess that explains why the Dart queue looked shorter!
Right well at least 40977 and 40979 are going nowhere due to failures!
As for Mercs, to my shock, horror and general displeasure these appear to have remained in service at OG full stop. Have seen all three (50209/11/3) moving about in the last week. I'm sure its a temporary thing though.
And no, sadly, as far as i'm aware, no B6s have as yet been withdrawn. Indeed, i think its more likely that G-NWA B10Ms will go for the driving school fleets first. When the Geminis start arriving we might see that start of the end of the midibus.
Midibus fans say thank gor'd for Stagecoach!

With the exception of about 5 in Chesterfield, which are going shortly, there are no Minibuses in Stagecoach Yorkshire - certainly none in the "Yorkshire Traction / Terrier" parts - all Mercs went yonks ago, and all Metroriders are off too now. If you really want to bash some 709Ds, I'd suggest giving Scotland a try !

I believe MOTI was referring to MIDIbuses, rather than minibuses, as these make up the bulk of the Stagecoach fleet.

Oh dear, eyesight is off now YTC.
I'd read my postings last 2 sentences again. Try the concept of midibus, not minibus.
And no J reg 811Ds, whatever will you put on the morning 252?!

Spent the weekend down in Gloucestershire, forgive me for being half asleep ! Minds, given we are talking about Midibuses now, MOTI seems to be forgetting about all his B6/Plaxtons at Rotherham, Dart/Plaxtons at Doncaster and Solos. No idea about the am 252 - the bus that works this used to then work the M17, so I guess it now runs dead back to Chesterfield, so I imagine will be a case of using "whatever". The J-AET's should have come off at the end of January along with most 709Ds as a result of the loss of the M17 and M49/50 and entry to service of 5 additional low floor MIDIbuses at Chesterfield. Not sure if the above has happend though, not seen the latest fleetcard yet.

No, MOTI hasn't missed anything.
Its stated only about 5 messages above that most of the midibuses will disappear at some point soon. I accept the Solos will stay, and so will some Darts or B6s for specific work unless some Solos / Primos et al can be found.
However, this will leave a handful and no more.
By comparison most of Stgs fleet is midi, especially in Sheffield (for now at least) and therefore - not as an insult - i was saying that any midibus fans should start to look to Stagecoach rather than FSY!
Simple as that.
