Doubt it because as said on here several times before first dont sell buses on to other operators incase they use them to compete against them.

Was it the white one working the route during day? It is a Dart I think, not a Volvo from hearing its engine note as it passed me earlier. It is this bus, L8NCP, guessing from reg may have worked at National Car Parks originally, however was at TM Travel: markamis.fotopic.net/p21201371.html (badges do confirm it as a Dart)

Yeah, you are referring to L8NCP which seems to have turned up at short notice. Whether this is a temporary measure i don't know, but not quite the improved 'low floor service' one may have expected given SCTs usual policy!

I was thinking that myself about the Low floor buses when i read the post. Considering they have a few Aleros sat around doing nothing you'd think in the short term they'd put a few on their lesser used routes such as the B1/S1/P1 which initially had aleros and put the Solo's on the 31 or just put the Alero's on there. As i know of atleast 2/3 alero's that rarely venture out & they also seems to be a few solos in the yard when ive gone past as well. Id have thought using a Solo on the 31 would be of more use and importance than on the M29 which could easilly manage with a Alero or one of their old local links Mercs

Saw this bus in service again today on the :00 sheffield :30ish hillsborough runs. I notice that unlike their other plain white vehicles its just had a revised version of the SCT logo placed on either side not the usually sheffield community transport making the links or what ever it is thats on some Solo's and their Volkswagens. Is the other bus on the route a Dart as well? as so far ive only seen this one haven't seen what does the other runs.

Well today i noted a LocalLinks short length Solo in PTE colours on the 31. Whether there is some interworking or whether this is a meal break issue etc i don't know.

Hello ive seen a sct b6 today on the 31 just wonded if it was ex- ???first From what i saw of the 31 yesterday as well as the Dennis dart they've also bought a N reg (i think) Merc Benz. The bus is in plain white and unlike the dart has no fleetnames so pritty much the same apperance wise as a Veolia Solo minus the TSY stickers. The bus in question also has no destination blinds just 31 on the number blind and 31 on a board in the windscreen. Although it does seem that their Solo's are on their more often now than on the 1st 2 or 3 days.

Did you notice if it had a door on the back. if so I assume its only temporary.

As per a photo in multimedia, this was not a N-DWE bus. Indeed, the bus in question was a 709D but with Alexander bodywork. Doesn't look a Stagecoach former standard one though.

No it wasnt a mobility bus, the only mobility ones they send out in service nowdays are 2/3 of their old orange Mercs now painted in Local links livery with ticket machines & blinds installed, they used to regularly be on the 267/300/J1 but nowdays seem to be confined to the Yard and do the odd bit of mobility work when their short of the ex FSY ones.

Yes id imagine so as the Local Links Mercs tend to be confined to the Alero/Volkswagen operated routes when on public service, however nowdays they seem to have sufficent SLF's to manage well prior to the recent changes anyway.

All the N-DWE Mercs tranferred plus the two KF02xxx Varios have been painted plain white and have started to carry MOBILITY on [what was] the destination blind.
I would be surprised if these were ever to be used in regular service given their special nature
