I can't remember the reg, but an Olly on a Doncaster-bound 88 today had a full set of London style blinds! I thought they'd all been converted? Still, much better than the cheapo LED displays normally used.

Im guessing this will be T906 KLF the most recent olympian transfered up from berkshire back in december 2006, allthough may be wrong, would'nt give it long until it recieves an LED destination blind though.

That's a shame - looks much better with blinds, less to screw up.

Yep, but crap blinds that tear a lot!
It will be 34106 in Doncaster, or 30550-2 at Olive Grove.
LED units for all these are being sourced.

Well, they're much better than the LED units. Too many of them, particularly on the Olympians, have parts missing, numerals not there, corrupted text etc.
Which is *why*, Mr Number 59 to Doncaster, I on many occasions ask for the route number of the bus, as I'm pretty sure from the vehicle type/location that it's a 59 but if your cheapo LED displays don't display the number than I shall still ask you to be sure!

yes T906 KLF still has a london style blind, but saw it the other day with just the numbers showing so maybe it ripped again.

Well when i had the pleasure of it on the X78 recently it could only display Sheffield without a number. Perhaps its alternating with only one or the other!
