I've noticed that First's Doncaster 15 service, now has a SPD operating the first service from the timetable change, which used to be operated by the more normal Volvo B7TL. I'm assuming this is a permanent allocation change.
It got me thinking, do buses have diagram lists as we do on the rail side. For instance, the first Sheffield service is booked for a Class 153 and more often than not is. So it got me thinking, are each buses allocated to a 'diagram'?
Sorry if it sounds thick and I've probably not explained it very well, but I think MOTI should be able to put a bit of flesh on the bones ...

Erm, i suppose you could look at it that way. It'll be a case of for inter-working and efficiency purposes it is useful to operate an SPD on the Edlington service before running onto another service (prob 55 or 57).
I suspect it'll be an instruction of 'non-branded low floor SD' or such.
Its the same vain as the early X7/205 journey which then works onto the X78. The bus type will be 'X78 SD', but the early add-ons are purely for efficiency and positioning.
