Allocations were a complete mess today, where to start?

SiS:

YN07KPO (Brand shiny as-new-as-they-come MAN) on the 52

However the main culprit was FSY:

At least 2 B10Ms on the 81/82

R-WKW B10BLE on the 41

B7L on the 41

ALX400 on the 95

B10M on the 47 and on another Overground route I can't remember

R-WKWs and ex-Halfway Geminis all over the place, and seemingly deckers on both the 75 and 76, but none on the 81/82.

A LUI Dart/Wright on the 82

Oh, and guess what Doyles were running on the 214 again?

I'm curious ... Why do the 81 and 82 keep getting B10Ms (and usually more than one) almost every day? They're Overground routes and should be low floor. The other Overground routes don't seem to see B10Ms as much as this ...

Well we all know that the 81/82 is First's least favourite Overground route, hence why B10Ms were standard until last July. I suppose its due to the Quality Corridors system whereby the 60 gets no end of new buses while the next corridor along gets B10Ms and Bradford/York cast-offs.

Although the 81/82 do get alot of B10Ms its not the only overground route in that boat the 20/20a have B10Ms on just as regular alately likewise the 13s/14s do on a slightly lesser scale than the above two.

You're right there. I should have said "in Sheffield"!

I think the X78 is more in need for low floor buses than not just the 81/82 but every overground service in South Yorkshire and it's only took at least 5 years for it to happen.
