not again - i also heard that there was a branded bus on 288/9 earlier today. STG might as well unbrand these buses unless they are going to operate in the right place! odds on Handybuses, East Lancs and Scanias will have been on 108/9 today

I think the X78 is more in need for low floor buses than not just the 81/82 but every overground service in South Yorkshire and it's only took at least 5 years for it to happen. Whether the X78 is more deserving than the 81/82 in Sheffield is irrelevant. The 81 and 82 ARE already low-floor routes, therefore should have low-floor buses. Especially when they're on some days they're swanning around on routes that are not low-floor. But yes cjm I have to agree, the Sheffield 81 and 82 are definitely not very highly regarded within First.

Non low floor Drat on the early morning 205 duty... (plus one outside SY, LRCC put a 49 seat Delta out in place of an 80 seat decker on a school run... lots of not happy people I'd guess!)

POW: A LUI Dart/Wright on the 82 Seeing as its the school holidays at the moment maybe that was on instead of a Metrobus either that or one of their Plaxton bodied Darts is off the road. Yeah, it does often go a bit odd in the holidays. One day in summer there were 2 Dart/Wrights and an R-UOT on. However, today there was a Metrobus (GYE-W), the aforementioned LUI dart, and a K-reg Plaxton dart (the one with seatbelts).

Like the 218, for instance? This was a Y-CSF today. On a separate note, today I was shocked to see a packed Alero on the M29! (YN53SUA) But then I suppose its not that hard to pack an Alero.......

Great photo, shows the bus off well but I'm not sure about the route it's on. It'll be great to see some of them on the 120.
