60649’s side display as been moved along the bus from the left to the right and back to the left again. If you look you can see the black bit on the window which goes around the side display. Does anybody know why?

ah right-thank you for the replies. Why is the glass painted? Is it to cover up some display workings?

Had a new window fitted, the glass is painted before fitting, the glass fitter made a booboo! Not quite, its not paint. Its masking otherwise known as a black sticker.

Not in south yorkshire Maltaboy, usually masked off and sprayed. Sometimes painted over on outside like ex-rotherham barbies. The only ones that spring to mind are 60629/31140 serious RTAs that were repaired at rotherham/plaxtons and masked off with the black plastic like you say.
