That seems a little over the top to have Dennis Tridents on School Services, would it not have been better to sell these 2 vehicles and buy around 5 - 6 Titans or older Olympians in their place to allow them to expand even further, that is if they are even worth that much, with them running around with Mass I think they would be sold on very cheaply indeed.

It makes sense to keep the Tridents around for the simple reason that if a contract comes up that requires low-floor access then MASS can win it by offering their low-floors at their usual low prices. They are quite good at spotting opportunities to under-cut people, as they did with the Woodhall Spa - Horncastle contract in Lincolnshire, which Brylaine operated using an ex-HK double decker. As Brylaine presumed they were the only company capable of offering such a service they put in a high price on the contract, only to be under-cut by MASS offering an ex-HK decker for a lower price. They were able to do this by inter-working the route with a Padley's work contract (to a factory near Sleaford), thus cutting down the dead miles and allowing them to offer the low price. Anything that gives them a potential competative edge will be welcomed, despite people's opinions of him, Mr Strafford is a clever operator.

Why not have a Trident on a school service? Far better than a knackered Titan.
