What will happen to the interworking of the 58|85|X57 from Monday, will the 85 be a stand alone operation or will it interwork with something else? As the 58 will be withdrawn and the X57 will only do one morning run a day. Looking at the 85 timetable it will get in to Sheffield and then go straight back to Millhouses where it only gets a three minute break.

That is probably why it has been rerouted along the 81/82 route then. What will the vehicle allocation be? |

I doubt very much it will be double deckers though, the 85 alone definitely doesn't need them and of course it used to be a minibus route! |

81 does see it's fair share of B7RLE's to be honest. It will probably be a split B7RLE/B10BLE operation. The main reason you need a larger sized bus like a B7RLE/B10BLE on the 85 is the students on Ecclesall Road. I have seen some come into town full of students in a morning. If there was no students you could probably run a Marshall Dart.

I was surprised to see a V---LGC?? B7TL ALX400 on the 81/85 yesterday. Is that quite rare??

Pretty rare yes. V143 LGC is usually on 30's.

The afternoon peak 27A runs off a 69/77 board.

Holmes 73 which comes into Crystal Peaks at 07:51 on Schooldays does a School Route 130, from Ridgeway to Eckington and then does a 73 again from Barlborough at 08:30
