You may also have a problem with damp as well. One way round it would be if you could mount it on thin balsa wood, then it may hold it shape for you.
I have not used card models for years, infact i did not know they were still made, but when i first started with my N gauge layout, when i was 8 year old (too many years ago) i had a few and infact still have one or two on my layout now.

...Metcalfe models have been around for years , but the latest ones the railway guys are using are Scalescenes stuff which you access on your computer and once you buy your item , you just print off and make up ! - oh and you can print off as many as you want for the one inexpensive price, which is ideal for brick sheets , paving , terraced houses ect !!!! and they all come weathered. Many are also free ! The sheets are obviously printed on paper , but a thick card backing is recommended , or the newer white foamboard. Check out the site !.... www.scalescenes.com/

Thanks Transit for the link, i have just printed the low releif warehouse out in N gauge (free) and looks good. I needed something to make a Bus Museam from now Oxford diecast are making the n gauge buses and this will do nicely.

Cheers Barry will try that thats why im not doing too much to it going to see how it performs through winter and summer, up to now its ok apart from dust thats settling on track
