I wonder if this is anything to do with Sheffield FreeBee Buses diverting via High Street and stopping at HS2 stop at 16:30 Freebee diverted due to car aimers who kept going around the road closure barrier on Norfolk St and meeting buses coming the other way.

Don't know what was happening Friday Night, around 21:00, buses were being Diverted from Spital Hill via Gower Street, Carlisle Street, Carlisle Street East, Upwell Street, Brightside Lane, Fred Mullay Road and Savile Street to Wicker. I think it was extra Roadworks, cos Diversion Signs were out on Carlisle Street East.

this was NOT the normal Diversion via Sutherland Street, it was an Extra long Diversion, which was not on Sheffield Council/TSY/First/Stagecoach websites etc.

The diversions are as follows: 64 - will not run whilst roadworks are taking place - 273/274/275 for a replacement. 273/274/275 - normal until Brook Hill roundabout, direct to Hillsborough then Malin Bridge & Rivelin Valley Road to rejoin normal route. Return will be as above from Rivelin Post Office, will stop at H1 in Hillsborough Interchange, direct to Brook Hill roundabout then as now to Sheffield Interchange.

Which is all well and good except the 64 and 273/4/5 diversion will not be via the same route between Hillsborough and Rivelin meaning part of the route wont be covered. I fail to see the purpose of going upto Brook Hill Roundabout, it could of course go via Shalesmoor, whilst missing the stops away from the Interchange it avoids getting stuck in all of the traffic, especially at rush hour.

I saw an Hulleys solo going down west Street at 0750 on 274 on friday. It doesn't usually go this way, I wonder if the diversion id via west Street, netherthorpe road, infirmary road to hillsborough and through rivelin?

As already mentioned diversion is from Brook hill to rivelin via hillsborough.
