There was an accident on the A1M today around the area where it meets the M18 (heard it was an overturned Lorry), with long tailbacks & standing traffic on the A1M & M18. This was causing delays to all Maltby services & the bus routes using the A630 between Rotherham & Doncaster due to the traffic using other roads as a way of getting round the traffic. No information posted on TSY website.

Traffic got diverted through A638 which didn't help.

Took me one hour to get a bus was unbelievable, most of the buses that came in changed their blinds to Not In Service persumably as drivers were over their driving time.
There was only one announcement made in the whole hour and that said "All buses are delayed due to heavy traffic in the town".
Doncaster Interchange needs to have it's tv screens showing live bus times and they could have displayed why everything was delayed I only knew from one driver telling another.

These were the times from the Cleveland Street stop at 16:50 pm today www.flickr.com/photos/doncasterbusphotos/11121240113/ I did notice on the tracker that the 81/82's were around 30 minutes late.

This was causing delays to all Maltby services & the bus routes using the A630 between Rotherham & Doncaster For the first time in ages there was no mileage lost at all on Maltby services today so where do you come up with this information? Delays (slight) happen to Maltby services around 1530 - 1700 because of Hellaby "kickout" but nothing other than that on friday. X78's a different story, delays of up to 55 minutes, some intense monitoring and adjusting kept losses to a minimum.

Yournextbus didn't take into account that some buses were not going back out at 5.25 Yournextbus showed 66 1 min and 2 mins it didn't arrive until 5.45 and 65 didn't turn up at all between 5 and 5.45pm

Firstgroup official stood at X78 stop in Rotherham Interchange Meadowhall bound mentioned this whilst i was waiting for an X78 to do a loop of the bus station. The X78 i was on (37490) had no driver to take over the bus when it came in from Doncaster. This was around 5:35pm. The X78 it was running with went & did a loop of the bus station so that it could pick up the passengers as it was originally going out without picking up due to it being the 4:30pm from DO & running late, mine was the 4:40pm which caught it up at Conisbrough. At that time the A630 was running pretty much normally with the usaual peak hour traffic in Balby & Warmsworth until the crossing where the 15 turns off for Edlington.

A 630 definitely got screwed up big style but no impact whatsoever on Maltby services. That is definite. Will have a word with the guy in question

It's inevitable that this sort of thing will only get worse on the run upto Christmas, especially with Parkgate services on Saturdays and then there's Meadowhall and then where ever they fancy digging the road up that week on the X78 route.
