There are a few FSY buses with the old fleet numbers on and I think some of the ex London stuff as the old numbers in the cab on a plate with the height if I remember correctly

Some of the original South Yorkshire B10LEs have got old numbers inside on the destination blind box like a lot of the B10Ms did.

Quite why Bradford put the old fleetnumbers on the cab windows at the time of the renumbering I don't know, unless they were still allocating by those numbers, but even so am surprised they have lasted so long, as must be nearly 10 years since the renumbering.
Saying that, Glasgow were still allocating local numbers to new vehicles until a few years ago (have a feeling the ex SY Geminis may have got local DVxxx fleetnumbers on paper)

Not heard of any being reported for a while.
Mind you there wasn't always logic used when allocating them.
The first batch of Tridents were numbered in order of arrival even though they knew which ones were coming, so could have been numbered in order.
Their first batch of Geminis were numbered between DV1 & DV100 (in order) but there are only 84 buses, do there was a gap of 16 numbers left around the DV60-80 mark.

When we had the sy renumbering i did for my own use a conversion chart i gave a copy to a friend funny i saw a few drivers using the same chart to work out what they were looking for . Understand that fsy engineering still used old numbers for a while. Bus as said above for a number to appear for so long is surprising.
