I was going to cut and paste loads of information from readily available sources but loads of you have beaten me to it. That's a shame, I miss having the "50 most recent posts" feature on this site clogged up with things I can read elsewhere on the 'net! As we all have access to computers, why don't we just look at the TSY, Stagecoach and First feeds on Twitter which are being kept fully up to date!, instead of copying & pasting from those sites on to here? no surprises here The TSY website is down again... 'Server too busy' later updated to 'service unavaliable' Completely and utterly hopeless - any sensible organisation would have sorted this problem after experiencing it every time it snows heavily for donkey's years. Instead they just rely on a free service, Twitter, that many people don't know about, instead of keeping their own site online by coughing up a little more to their hosting company. Up until atleast 07:40 Twitter hadn't been updated, so a poor show all round. The 'normal' website is still unavaliable.

Dare i say it? gritting and the return to normal today has been spot on. Couldnt believe my eyes when the last 51s in both directions were on time after 3 inches was already on the road late last night.

Gritting as been good if you look at the main roads they have been done and were ok - despite what people say I agree, I have seen a lot of gritters out over the last week or so around Rotherham. Although in Barnsley when the snow came last Friday I noticed that the roads were much worse than Rotherham as they were not getting gritted, I didn't see a gritter at all.

According to a friend who works at Wakefield Rd he says Stagecoach are pulling Buses off the road? I would look on the TSY website but they don't post any updates after 10pm though.

FSY pulled in Sheffield at 22:30. Conditions severe with no improvement likely. Snow too heavy to grit. Expect no service from 04:00 until snow has stopped and Amey get stuck in with ploughs. A foot deep in southwest suburbs.
