A bus has caught fire between Doncaster & Barnsley this morning the fire did not spread to the inside of the bus. I am assuming this is a Stagecoach bus but I am willing to be corrected. www.thestar.co.uk/news/local/doncaster-bus-catches-fire-1-5797828(For all the moaners and trolls if this story does not interest you please look elsewhere - written from past experience).

Radio Sheffield were reporting a "broken down bus "on Barsnely road Marr this morning , I am not sure of the area but could this be the same incident ? It was there for at least 2 hours and they reported "police controlling traffic" which is unusual for a breakdown these days.

I went through Hickleton/Marr this afternoon on the X19 & saw no evidence of a fire or breakdown, this was at 3:30pm, all traffic was flowing freely. If Police were controlling traffic then it must have been either around the junction just after Marr or on the National Speed Limit section between these places on A635.

The incident happened on the stretch of road between Marr and Hickleton as I got caught up in the traffic. It was a Brightbus decker; a Dennis Dragon if I was not mistaken.

I was thinking that B7l's would be a bit 'modern' for a company like that... The Nordic's would have been better being purchased by First and used elsewhere in the fleet! They won't last very long with this lot, as SA52DVD has found out...

Would any other First operation accept them? Not good on fuel consumption and from what I'm told not in the best condition. Another B7L Nordic was destroyed by fire in Copenhagen and pretty sure Glasgow had one of those on fire.

Pic of SA52DWD 6009 for you Facebookers, tell me if the like works or not. www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=515068121899899&set=a.497040997035945.1073741829.463997053673673&type=1&theaterAll I can say is...
