Armthorpe Lane>?? Are you sure about that? It's all a bit contrived why not just do Northumberland Ave,Windermere Ave,and Montrose Ave and terminate back on Shaftesbury Avenue.

There is no mention of Armthorpe Lane in that link as Armthorpe Lane is next to the hospital and no where near Leger Way.

It's ridiculous most of the alternative is covered by 65 anyway during the day it will not be to time and will get stuck in the traffic upto the roundabout at peak times.
I wonder who came up with this nonsense you would think being next to depot they would have the best idea for the route it's not like it's miles away and they don't know the area well.

on 66 yesterday I noticed the running card showed the duty was booked for a B7TL E3, could be specific to this turn but I did wonder if they were going to allocate shorter buses for the twists and turns of the diversion

Due to difficulties keeping to the timetable the 66 diersion route has been revised from 17th October. The route from Shaftesbury Avenue now is:
Montrose Avenue, Lancaster Avenue, Malvern Road, Westminter Crescent, Cheltenham Road, Queensbury Road, Westminter Crescent, Malvern Road, Lancaster Avenue & Montrose Avenue back to Shaftesbury Avenue.

The original diversion route was ridiculous. Plus it's adding to journey time terminating round the Leger Way roundabout.

From what I have seen they haven't even started doing the roundabout yet with all the rain.

How the hell is it going to get down Queensbury Road which is outside a school? Not a chance.

massive queue in the bus station this afternoon, two 66s arrived together and common sense prevailed, both loaded up together on A7 and A8, usually one would have skipped past and gone out empty

One 66 ran out of service to Bentley the other day. I'll be glad when 66 returns to it's original route!
