The draft consultation is now on its way and seems to offer pretty bad news for bus users in Rotherham.

So there will be no buses running to/from The Wilton on Kimberworth Road from/to Coronation Bridge?

I don't fancy the chances of the 7/8 drivers getting out of Psalters Lane onto Meadow Bank Road. A right turn is difficult even at quieter times.

The 78 seems a bizarre idea too.

I hope this ridiculous review stays away from Doncaster as from viewing this, the creators couldn't manage to run a bath let alone a consultation.

Yes every 30 minutes instead of every 20 minutes. As well as the ability to sit in even longer queues at Meadowhall now due to serving Meadowhall way.

Same here. I was looking at it earlier and cannot see a sensible change suggested amongst them. Some of it has been done before and proven it doesn't work like with the 10s. If SYPTE are wanting to increase car useage and lower bus useage then I think they will succeed, otherwise what a shambles.

The best thing that could happen in my opinion is for First to pull out of it.

Is it me, or is the majority of changes going to be on firsts services?

I don't see any bus from Ravenfield to Wickersley anymore. I thought that was used quite a bit for links to doctors around the tanyard.

I was, like most of us, hoping for a sensible review of the Rotherham bus map and in turn producing a comprehensive system which provides choice, enhanced routes and frequencies. All this appears to do is dilute the provisions and create routes that don't make sense but also include issues at known busy areas and negotiating difficult junctions.

It's hard to comprehend the logic employed here.

These proposals seem really poor. The idea of rerouting the 7/8 via Psalters Lane then onto Meadowbank Road would never work, i have sat on a 34 for at least 5 minutes with the bus trying to turn left, the right turn is near impossible at peak hours. Some of the other ideas seem poor, why reroute the 32 when the current route is working at present? The 33 extending beyond Treeton to Aston was tried before at October 2009 & it did not work then, so i don't see it working now. It seems to me to be tryig to cover too many areas with fewer routes.
