From Tuesday the 18th February there will be alterations to services between Sheffield and Chesterfield due to the hillside at Unstone becoming unstable. The work is expected to take between 4-6 weeks. The following amendments will be made: - East Midlands Trains Sheffield to London St Pancras - 1 Train per hour which will divert via Beighton. Other London services will start/terminate in Derby.
- East Midlands Trains Sheffield to Nottingham - Running via Beighton and serving Alfreton and Langley Mill additionally.
- CrossCountry - Apparently running normal service.
- Northern Leeds to Nottingham - Will run Leeds to Sheffield with a replacement bus service operating between Sheffield and Chesterfield via Dronfield.

Today all northbound trains are running via Dronfield and all southbound trains are running via Beighton

Some confusion at Sheffield station this morning with trains being routed to different platforms from those listed...without any announcements!
