The works have moved onto section two. Hard Lane is now open between Kiveton and Harthill but the road is now closed by the Beehive pub so you cannot drive from one end of the village to the other.
Buses 21 and X54 continue to terminate at Todwick or Kiveton and not serve Harthill.
Bus 26/26a now operating Crystal Peaks > Killamarsh > Kiveton > Thorpe Salvin > Harthill but instead of going up through Harthill village it is heading to Kiveton via Hard Lane then returning to Crystal Peaks via the same route it came - ie all buses from Crystal Peaks will be a 26 and all buses to Crystal Peaks will be a 26a.
The X30 and 926 continue to operate from the Firvale terminus with the 26/26a serving the other end of the village (although of course none of these buses run on evenings or Sundays!).

What are Maxfields using on this route? It's what I can only describe as a yellow west yorkshire single deck schoolbus. I'll try and get the reg if I see it. It lays over for 5-10 minutes every hour on Walesmoor Avenue near Morrisons Daily. |
