Absolutely, no-one is saying don't post. You can also be assured that being a moderator is slightly lower on my list of priorities than making YTC unemployed (just kidding mucka').
I think what we are trying to get across is that people are indeed free to say what they like (people tend to anyway) but aside from canteen gossip type areas of the forum, it would be nice to stick to some facts. Appreciate its an enthusiasts site (i am one), and appreciate we all hear things on the grapevine.
What i was saying (and i think YTC concurred) was that we generally do know what is happening and we are happy to provide information, and where prompted to answer peoples questions (within the realms of commercial confidentiality), rather than just having untrue rumours rushing around.
I would have thought as enthusiasts you would prefer to actually know whats going on in the area, and also to gain an insight into how things are run (i.e. "this route will not work", or "this idea fails on drivers hours" etc) rather than have speculation.
If you prefer the 'anything goes' idea, i'm cool with that. Say and do what you want for me. But, i think i'll follow YTCs lead and just stop trying to educate people with the accurate picture when they go off on a tangent.
I wasn't trying to cause offence or trying to tell you what to do.
As for Tridents for Devon, i would suggest that the tourist trade required deckers, and maybe, just maybe, they'll have a happier life without the Barnsley mafia destroying the top decks and bricking them!

55 plates were apparently sent down to Devon. I do understand that some may come up with some wacky ideas on this forum but i don't believe that i am one of them. I'd also like to point out that most Stagecoach areas have some form fo alx400 tridents, even in areas similar to Barnsley such as the East Midlands, Chorley etc and i don't believe that it is beyond the realms of possibility. If indeed early alx400's are goin spare from manchester, then why not? Yorkshire gets the Olympians. It has been blown out of proportion as i only suggested it as a possibility but i always respect views "from the inside" aslong as they are not patronising. Finally, i don't mind listening to rumours aslong as they are taken "with a pinch of salt". I work in the airline industry where rumours are rife and quite frankly, it makes great conversation!

Much appreciated. This Travel South Yorkshire seems to be better informed that SYPTE's Travel South Yorkshire half the time. Actually, most of the time...
