Seen this bus last tuesday the 10th october had the x78 branding removed and was in white and had the paint of barbie 2 livery removed so i take it this is in for repaint is it out yet as i have not seen it yet?
This bus was seen on hallgate in service eventhough the bus looked a right mess as paint had being stripped off it was heading towards intake (shaftesbury avenue) on service 66.
Will there be any more old x78 branded buses stripped down and repianted into b1 livery?

All of them in time. Most people will have noticed that an aggressive paint programme is starting to remove the barbie 2 livery quite fast.
The fact it was out 'in a mess' suggests it was pressed into service when off road for repaint. Beggars can't be choosers!

Beggars can't be choosers! cheers for that manontheinside and yes i have noticed most of the b2 livery (YUK!) is starting to go now and all being replaced by first b1 livery so its good that they will all be the same livery noticed that n746 cky was last one of the x78 branded buses to get repainted so must be removing the branding in time for the new x78 buses to come and the old x78 branded buses to go and work on other routes. (just a note will the old x78 branded buses the ones with headrests ie, 741-748 be used by first doncaster depot or first rotherham depot after the new buses come?)

No idea - doubt thats the important problem. Given the higher spec (albeit slightly tatty these days) i would hope they would be utilised elsewhere on a route that finds them useful (218 perhaps, or 21?). Logically i'd say 87 or 88 but they are best served with deckers.

Whenever a B10M turns up on the 87/88 they always seem to be packed! Yesterday saw several B10Ms on 87/88s yet KLFs on the 80 and X78 - hmm!
I'd imagine the X78 branded vehicles would go to whatever depot they're currently allocated to...?
B2 made buses look older and tattier than they actually were, B3 is an improvement definitely!
