Seen today on service x78 in brightside (a6109) was N742 CKY in new barbie 1 livery, so this route no longer carries route branding for the x78 route, looks really good, and like all new doncaster repaintes as the first logo on the rear above the window, at the top of the bus, where as all sheffiled and rotherham repaints have them on the window. Looks really good will try and get a photo of this bus soon, i have a photo of the bus when in barbie 2 livery and when it had x78 route branding click the link below to view the photo: www.sheffieldbus.fotopic.net/p35674340.html

I don't think anyone will really miss the Barbie 2 version of the First livery somehow ...

Is 742 one of the B10Ms repainted by Thomas Hardy Commercials in Manchester?
You can spot these as they have the pink band extend full width around the front and rears and are not adjusted to take into account the bumpers, etc.

yes, shame it as lost the x78 branding, but ever since mid 2005 when the x78 was upgraded to every 9 minutes it lsot more of the branding, and now it just says what areas it goes too, shame really looked good, i remeber when it was first published in the sheffield star about the upgraded x78, lets just hope the new branding for the x78 on the brand new buses will be good.
And yes the ones done in manchester look horrible, like n746 cky is, but n748 cky is in normal paint, and does not have the pink stripe across the back bumper.
Most buses in halfway, was repianted in manchester, but msot of the old halfway b10ms are now in service with rotherham depot.
