This bus was on the x78 route today, heading towards doncaster on the 15:15 from rotherham interchange, it had a doncaster advertisement sticker on the bus, and was literailly empty, so a bus must be late, missing, and that bus must have being used as a replacement.

as far as i know this bus has or had the Frenchgate advert on the side. The agreement may have been to use the bus on different routes around the town and it may have been the X78's turn looks better branding a low floor than a b10m i supose

oh thanks couldn't remember the number, yea i think 513 has been used on all the routes in doncaster rather than just sticking with its familiar 58.

IIRC spuds dont have "set" routes - possibly discounting the branded ones, so anything can turn up anywhere. Though I do seen to have an awful habit of catching 534 a helluvalot, maybe it's on Cantleys more than the others.

I for one think the SPUD's are quiet beasty and from a passenger perspective, they are lovely and warm

Doctors - check that man out!
I'll usually defend FSY and its contents to the nth degree, but even i draw the line at SPUDs! In fact, make that Darts of any kind - awful cheap rubbish. Sure the newer ADL versions are better (indeed the TransBus 4 (40973-6) are decent) for YTCs benefit.

Today's spud had, to shamelessly misquote YTC's cunning phrase :
"More rattles than Mothercare"
... a top speed of at least three m.p.h., packed to the rafters and the driver was enjoying a cigarette! Nothing new on all counts, then.

Enjoying a cigarette? Surely an oxymoron?
