... a piece of plastic or thin steel is glued to the rear of the unwanted window , and then filled with car body filler. Pics of the Metrobus conversion (Big Stuff ! - SYT 496 ) - show the staircase and side destinations filled like this .

Hi Jasem , Not as much done as i would have liked !, but heres the latest update : Front doors changed from 2 to 4 leaf , then painted SYT cream. Front end reshaped with sheet aluminium and body filler. Long side destination shortened to route number size. Rear wheelarches moved 3mm to the rear , and all four arches enlarged to accept correct higher profile tyres - this will also mean a major cut & shut to the chassis to extend the wheelbase (thanks Captain!) Relocated fuel filler inlet on o/s

....thanks for the positive comments guys ! - hope to get the rear end done and get it into primer over the next couple of weeks . Seriously thinking of making it into 2450 , the preserved trolleybus at Sandtoft . What do you think ? It will certainly be a challenge to me regarding the livery and trnsfers ect , and those poles on the roof !!!

....managed to get the rear end almost done ! - made up from thin ally sheet and car body filler . The rear lights are much higher on the trolleybus and the engine cover is also slightly different to the standard Doms .... ...since the above pic , i raised the route no. box 1mm , and filled in the blue vent inserts , as i can represent them better with transfer mesh. New o/s emergency door with correct size window made from plasticard.... ...next to do the roof details and the laborious beading and body mouldings !
