First of all, I find it very difficult to read after the upgrade but I think it's to do with the computer I am using until I get my laptop back (also hard to read on my phone). I'll conclude that when I start reading it on my laptop though. However, where is the list of members who are in the chatroom? It always used to be at the bottom of the page

The font sized used on the updated software is exactly the same as before, it is even the same typeface (Verdana). Can you provide any examples of where the text is smaller for you @2101?
The list of members in the chatroom was a old piece of coding that is no longer compatible with the forum software.

One fix/enhancement you will notice in the next few minutes is the re-introduction of page views in the subject area when on a thread such as this one.

It isn't the text that's smaller, it keeps freezing and lagging and I find that navigation is harder. I expect that I'll get used to it and when I get my laptop back a better browser may help (I am currently using Windows 2000 and IE6)

I don't like the fact you have to open a new link to log in now. On the old forum you could log in on bottom of page.

I expect that I'll get used to it and when I get my laptop back a better browser may help (I am currently using Windows 2000 and IE6) It’s your web browser that is the problem. Most sites now are not coded for anything below IE7 and have stopped additional support to these browsers, including this site. That will also be the reason why the forum is "lagging" for yourself. This forum is coded for all new browsers (IE9+) and will not work correctly if you have any browsers older than this or if you have compatibility mode enabled. The graphics will also not show properly and may continue to lag. This is something that I am also working on for the main forum website now that coding is moving on from HTML4 to HTML5 etc. Regards, Staff at South Yorkshire Transport

Hang on....I've been downgraded from Operations Director to Inspector! I don't work for First anymore you know! Ignore that Browncream, it's just the Senior Members Area was removed and therefore the group that was created for this area (Operations Director) became obsolete. This has been used again, but for members with a postcount of 5,000+ posts. Regards, Staff at South Yorkshire Transport

I would like to change my user name on this Forum but that isn't possible is it? No, all usernames now remain the same. This is so there is no confusion in the system with the " Insert User Link" function where you can quote specific people into a thread, such as yourself jakerton43. This is also done now with the new software so you can either log in via your emain address or forum username. Regards, Staff at South Yorkshire Transport

I don't like the fact you have to open a new link to log in now. On the old forum you could log in on bottom of page. Sadly that is something that is not able to be changed due to the new global login system. Sorry about that! Regards, Staff at South Yorkshire Transport

I really don't like the new layout and where is the spell checker as well? Sadly there is nothing we can do regarding layout, it is a default set-up of the main software and is almost identical on the whole to the previous forum software. Spell checker is now no longer supported given most web browsers have this intensive usage resource available either pre-installed or available to install. If you are using IE, look at adding "IeSpell" to your browser for free. You can also set this for UK English rather than US English as was installed on the previous version of the forum. If you want a spellchecker use one of the latest versions of Firefox, Magic. That's what I use on my laptop and everything you type on internet pages is spell checked.
