It may prevent downloading from the forum using the 'save picture as' option in Outlook Express etc, but will not stop it all together if the person is determined.
I have managed to download one of BusMans pics (to see if the prevention would work) using my iPhone, so beware that photos can still be 'stolen'!

There are no systems in the world to prevent this from happening, there are only systems to make it difficult. It can be done very easily, for obvious reasons I will not state how its done, but a couple of the worst offenders are back on the forum now so beware!

Hmmm just checked the coding and tried it on a multitude of web browsers and operating systems and it seems to be working as it should. Which images were you attempting to download, as it is generally only large size photographs that would be protected (excluding the background photo)? As for the stopping of downloading images it is next to impossible to make your posted images on the internet totally secure. If someone has the know-how, they will be able to circumvent this and other codes and grab your images. It is a lot easier than many think. This just makes it harder to go about doing it and helps to prevent those who do not know any alternatives as duncan mentions above. Regards, Staff at South Yorkshire Transport

Just tried again in Chrome and right click works fine. Remember chrome has its own settings and you may have yours set different to mine.

Hi swfcforever, To disable the background image to be shown on your profile you will need to follow the following steps: 1: Click on Profile on the menu bar 2: To the top right hand side of the profile box, click on the Edit Profile button 3: Then click on the tab called Settings 4: Scroll down to where a drop down menu appears under the title Forum Theme 5: Select Default 6: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Account Setting. Must say the updated mobile version of the forum since the update last night is very good. Layout is a lot better now and it loads a lot faster too. For topics would it be possible to include recent posts and the total post numbers on the main boards as with the desktop version of the forum?
One feature I do miss is the Spell Check function. Howcome this was removed when the upgrade took place?

Using Opera 12.11 and no images are loading at all apart from some (but not all) avatars. Everything is working fine using Firefox, so I assume it is not a problem with my machine.

Howcome this was removed when the upgrade took place? Good to see you have noticed the enhanced speed performance and general clean up of the forum and the mobile version. Sadly space limitations are a factor and this is why post counts etc. have not been included. This also helps to speed up the viewing of the forum for those using 3G and 4G networks. The spell checker function was an intensive resource to use and host and therefore was not included in the upgrade to the forum. If you install IE10 this has an automatic grammar and spelling check enabled as default. You will need to make sure it is set up for English UK however. Regards, Staff at South Yorkshire Transport

Sounds like it is a problem with the browser rather than your machine. Will forward this info on to the main admin team at ProBoards for you. Regards, Staff at South Yorkshire Transport
