All 308...s off at Rotherham today, 305...s/311...s on 1/2s with B7Ls and BLEs on all town routes plus 66/27/29s and 2 Darts on 34/43s
30873/9/80 painted and 30879 prepped. Told that they are having a suspension modification and some modification to make them DDA compliant, not sure what or why they are non DDA at current?

I don't usually listen to the rumour mill but I have heard on good authority that a number of exBury Ciatros are coming to South Yorkshire when they are displaced there. Is there any news on this?

Looks like 47401 has had a slight catch of a kerb on the nearside. When these enter service at RO will this mean the use of Marshall Darts as seen today will end?

I don't usually listen to the rumour mill but I have heard on good authority that a number of exBury Ciatros are coming to South Yorkshire when they are displaced there. Is there any news on this? When Transport for London bought articulated Citaros in 2003 and 2004, four buses caught fire, although there were no casualties involved. In fact, one was burnt on its delivery journey, for unexplained reasons. Mercedes-Benz did, however, address the problem, though the buses were withdrawn for some time that saw the brief return of the just-retired Routemasters. Unfortunately, these buses were said to have marred the reputation of articulated buses in the United Kingdom, and some Londoners nicknamed them "Chariots of Fire".[5] All bendybuses have now been withdrawn, and some are now in service with Arriva Malta. However some rigid 12m examples still exist for London General's "Red Arrow" routes 507 and 521. There also some in use with other operators on suburban routes. Are the none Artic versions any better?

Will these be in service in Rotherham and if so, on which routes? I wish we could get rid of the Darts, they're the worst buses we've ever had in Rotherham.

Not sure what Bury's Citaros are like, but I have travelled on the Bus Eireann MC class on several occasions, which are Euro 2 Citaros (and withdrawn for over a year now). While they are a lovely bus to travel on, they are a disaster for hill climbing, and there were issues with build quality if the type spends a lot of time on bad roads. I hope none are allocated to Sheffield. The B10BLEs are a much better bus. I have noticed that the new Enviro 300s have put some of Bury's Citaros on the reserve list, along with some BLEs and Scania Axcess, though.
