(the Rotherham changes are being discussed in a separate thread - travelsy.proboards.com/thread/19322/rotherham-network-consultation-february-2019)www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/servicechanges/Does the TM Travel 6 runs north up Arundel Gate in both directions? (or does the Darnall - Millhouses service run direct from Haymarket to High Street?) The TM 218 will run along Psalter Lane/ Abbey Lane (to avoid congestion on Abbeydale Road). Not long ago since the only service up Psalter Lane (the 4) was "saved" - now there'll be three buses per hour? The SCT 31A is replaced by the 31B (i.e. following the same route as the Stagecoach version on a Saturday, given the delays encountered in Hillsborough - meaning no service any more along a section of Walkley Road)

Good luck to them with that, The bottom of Cemetery Road gets massive congestion now due to the removal of the left turn (except buses) onto London Road and massive queues on Abbey Lane in the rush hour.. I suspect that may get changed back.

Like I said, that has been happening for at least the last 10 years and probably longer. Locals were told then they would lose their bus. Good to see such prompt action.

Quite a few Doncaster changes in March considering they will have to change them in April again when Hallgate reopens they should have just left any changes for one month.

Sorry, I didn't explain myself properly - I meant that the withdrawal of the 31a (aka replacement by the 31b) means the section of Walkley Road by the bottom of Palm Street will have no service (the "main road" bit of Walkley Road will still have the 31 and the 52/52a, of course). It's not a huge loss but it's a bit of road that I think has had a regular bus service for thirty years (M67, 201 etc)

I Don't think they ever planned to re-use South St/Pitt St. They was just waiting until the new timetables to use the excuse of badly parked cars. Other areas suffer the same issue Standon Rd (Wincobank) for instance but still have a service. They should have said from the start they would not go back to using South St/Pitt St. Does it need a service possibly but one every 30 mins or even hourly would be adequate. But what would serve it a new service would be a waste of resources or some X78's then would they have to renumber some? I've also noticed on TSY website no mention of the X78's going to every 12mins as previously mentioned in the consultation just changes to times. Has this now been cancelled and staying as a 15min service.

I don't know if I've missed understood this but according to the traffic commissioner website the A1 is being withdrawn. Is it just a number change? because according to travel SY the A1 is set to continue? Can anyone shed any light on this. Will the A1 for example become an X74?
PB1088444/132 T M TRAVEL LTD, HALFWAY BUS GARAGE, STATION ROAD, HALFWAY, SHEFFIELD, S20 3GZ Operating between Rotherham interchange and Sheffield given service number A1 / effective from 03 March 2019.
