I can’t understand why the 36 has not been reinstated - serves many deprived communities that rely on buses and a vital link for some to the city - there will be complaints from the Wincobank area before too long.

My guess is it's either: The fact that the 36 won't make enough money currently or the availability of driving staff if some remain shielding.

Does anyone else find it a bit odd that the X2 has been withdrawn? It served both hospitals and was lurched to great fanfare, also surprised at the SL1/A that has run for years and I guess encouraged tram use?

Also of note, I expect the First 57 Sheffield to Stocksbridge tendered service to be withdrawn shortly, given Stagecoach are now operating the commercial 57/57A in the evenings/Sundays over the same route.

It's that unreliable, that people can not rely on it and simply walk down to Brightside Lane for the X78.

Both 136 Stagecoach and First 57 are basically tendered journeys they operated before lockdown. 57, 57a only running Hillsborough to Stockbridge every 30 minutes combined, so no direct bus to Sheffield anymore from Stockbridge/Deepcarr I beg your pardon I missed that, of 'course the direct link to Sheffield has been lost, a case of catching a 52 to Hillsborough then connecting to a 57/a. I can see that potentially being on unpopular move with commuters when they return to work! Is this going to be semi permanent then do you know? I can see many things to get use to in the next few months! Hmm. Stagecoach 52 only run to Hillsborough early mornings/late evenings and Sundays. All pax off the 57/57A would therefore have to transfer onto either the Blue/Yellow tram or the First 81/82 buses.

That's such a shame, I'll miss the x6 between Sheffield and Wickersley, it may be back next year when foreign holidays return to some normally, after a vaccine is found perhaps! I wonder if this means Powles will regret withdrawing the x7? Isnt the problem that they have had social distancing on there for ever. Best load I have seen is 8 Yes and the X7 was the same.

Very True, TBH it only remained as a paid way of getting buses onto contracts in Sheffield, attempts to run either all day showed a lack of understanding of local travel patterns.

To be honest, if anyone thinks they will ever see services returning to pre covid levels they are deluding themselves. People will have to get used to walking to their nearest bus route as operators struggle to maintain any sort of service profitably. SYPTE will not be in a position to support any level of service for anybody given that it is being mooted that Stagecoach will be handing back the tram system to the PTE fairly soon hence the nature of service revisions in the tram areas. We are going to emerge from covid into the biggest recession known to the world and anything that survives will be a bonus. ( Anyone want to buy some tram trains?)

Nobody on it mate. Its my route. On Petre Street people get on the 97 and 98 more. walk to there. Margate Drive is where it kinda gets busy, the Number 5 serves that bit every hour. The 18 might be diverted around there as the 18 doesn't pick up many on the 2 stops it would miss on Upwell Street and would pick up more on Margate Drive. Where I am, people walk to get the X78 from Brightside Lane. Up at top near Limpsfield School area, people can walk for the 95A.

Interestingly SEM are still only running one 22 per hour, although they have increased 19's to every 30 minutes and some local runs in Worksop to every 30 minutes. I hope things change by June 15 if the shops open because I can see problems if not! Also Stagecoach Yorkshire Sheffield/Doncaster seem to have reinstated most evening trips. SEM haven't. Hope this isn't a sign of the future! 19 is every 20 mins not 30 but I do not get why 65 still has no service 19 was fine at one an hour as I have to catch this it isn't busy enough for every 20 mins plus 22 is alternative even if they are same time and 72/73. 65 helps keep people off the 81/82 and 66 so should be reinstated by First.
