Just saw one of the 58-branded LF Volvos pass by... on 059/01 board! No doubt the 58 will be being run with Solos and Olympians .

This actualy reminded me that today I saw a 120 in 52 branding and a 52 in 120 branding maybe stagecoach are now suffering from a touch of dislexia.

Hmm - one of the 58 branded vehicles is on the 76, another on the 59, meanwhile the 58 is being run with a spud, a B10M and a NLF Drat!

I do have to admit from my trip into Sheffield yesterday the 52 and 120 branded buses all looked in place - so a well done to Stagecoach there.
Though on a not so positive note why was a B6 on the 120 and ont of the LF Darts on the 83 which to my knowing isnt a low floor route!
Going back to Tuesday one of the new Darts was on the X92 run instead of an evolution along with the usual M29-TWB crap!
I am continually seeing low floor Evolutions on service 79 which is not right when the X92 (LF route) is left with the wonderful M___TWB batch.
Got to say from what i have seen of First alocations they seem to be doing very well recently - not even seen a SPUD clattering through Conisbrough whilst falling to bits on the X78 for a few week.
Today STG seem to have put a standard STG solo on the 348 (havent got fleet number as of yet) wouldnt suprise me if 515 or 516 were knocking about somewhere on the 228/9

The B6 on the 120 is a different matter. For a start, the PTE's Smart Route S10 leaflet does not list the 120 as officially low floor (although it should be since its run from 100% LF (bar Metrobuses) Holbrook). The B6 was likely a "Repaint Cover" one (was it in Terrier livery?) as Hobrook have no B6s in full time service. The Dart on the 83 is unrelated as the 83 and 120 are from different depots, and Ecclesfield has quite a few "spare" SLF darts for the 88 that inevitably live on the 83.

Unfortunately Holbrook was again today a bit amiss with it allocations!
2 x 52 branded DAFs were on the 120 and a B6BLE on the 52 (thankfully the unbranded 31913 and not a 120 branded one)

Well this has saved me saying the above. Its not pretty out there, but no company is blameless - saw a 60 Gemini 'shouting' in from Castleton the other day. I really don't understand what causes Holbrook so many problems (Ecclesfield seem ok) with branding - the buses are different types with very different numbers. If nothing else on departure, the big numbers on the windows should give it away!
On a side note, interesting to see that SiS are starting to enjoy the fruits of evening operations too. The branding is already starting to become patchy. I've seen a 120 missing the 'Its Your'... bit of 'Its Your 120' on a new window pane, and a similar thing with an 88 Dart SLF.
Rawmarsh however continues to win awards for imaginative allocations - those Evo's must have some terrible teething troubles given the number of Scanias and Darts on there at the mo (X92 that is).

Oh, I've never seen an 88 with branding missing but there is definitely an 83-branded B6 missing some branding on a window. As for the most "imaginative" allocation I can remember, and this is going back a while, was a Dominator on the then-M85!

Rawmarsh however continues to win awards for imaginative allocations - those Evo's must have some terrible teething troubles given the number of Scanias and Darts on there at the mo (X92 that is). well with the new evolutions there has only ever been once since they were all in service i have seen one in the depot and that was due to a breakdown! Normally thye can be found scattered about on service 1, 108/9, 79, 228, 288/9, 222 and the X92. Though to say they were "only" for the X92 they seem to know Barnsley, Mexborough Highwoods, Maltby, Wombwell and Rawmarsh very well indeed! Seems like the X92 is going back to high floor with at least three scanias on that route today! so well done to the Rawmarsh alocaters. Wonder when the LED blind programmer at Rawmarsh realises you can add via points on the blinds. Someone who doesnt know the route and gets on in Meadowhall with it saying "Doncaster" may think it is direct like the X78 though takes 2 hours on a good day! perhaps something like this ... Doncaster via Rotherham Doncaster via Wath Doncaster via Mexborough Doncaster via Conisbrough then same but with Meadowahall in other direction. As for the wierdist alocation i have ever seen it has to go to the powells metrobus on the 398 (Conisbrough Circular) when they know the darts were having great difficulty turning some of the corners! other than that there is always the 52 beanded bus on the 120!

........and the blinds on the First B10's show lots of information RE: the X78 depends which depot operate the bus. the doncaster ones display the destination then below via Rotherham and Meadowhall The rotherham ones either just display the destination or on the LED's display the destination followed by via Conisbrough, Rotherham and Meadowhall. so all in all lots more info than on the X92

Right the X92 today - rawmarsh alocaters must have been having loads of fun!
3141HE Scania H27X Scania M299TWB Dennis Dart K410
all on the X92 run earlier today so god knows whats happend to the evolutions! well done to Ramwarsh alocaters. Wonder if the 79 is fully low floor today! when someone turns up with a baby buggy (ect) expecting a low floor bus and K410 turns up what do you do? for a start it can hardly reach 20mph so must be running late all day!

Not being funny here, but as of yet the x92 is NOT a low floor route, and hasent being yet, so the evolutions can go onto any route, but then again the 79/228/229 is NOT a low floor route either.
As for the x92, it doesnt require low floor buses as of yet so their is no pressure to get low floor buses onto the x92 as of yet, allthough it will change in the near future.
