Would it usually go via Wakefield Westgate?

Usually it would but during the Bradway Tunnel works revised timetable it is not stopping at Wakefield which allowed the routing via Barnsley.

(Sorry I'm not up on trains!)
Saw a NXEC train towards London Kings Cross at Doncaster Station being pulled by a diesel locomotive. I'm sorry I can't provide anymore info, I'm assuming some of the cars are being repainted?

Was it a HST? If so it would be one of the Aberdeen, Inverness or Hull services.
If it was being dragged by something else (57 or 67 most likely) it would have been a failure.

Wasn't a HST, was something else, might help if I was 'up' on trains!

I don't know much about trains either, but I'm told that 67s do the recovery for NXEC as they are capable of 125mph.

CrossCountry HST on Reading - Newcastle (via Doncaster) I think, passing through Meadowhall at around 16:20 today, usually a Voyager, too bad as well, I would have caught if I'd have gone to Sheffield on the tram...

Forgot to mention this yesterday, after been dragged around the shops by the missus in town, when we were heading back on the 76, passing under the Woodseats Road bridge was a Class 158 South West train, sadly as the traffic was crawling I did not manage to get the fleetnumber.

Two remain on loan, off the top of my head it's 158881/2.
