Just a quick update: Monday 15 October 2018 is the pencilled day for the launch of operation to Rotherham and Parkgate. This is subject to the landscaping works been finished on time at Parkgate by SYPTE and their appointed contractors.
All tram only tickets will be valid to Parkgate, with the single fares likely to remain the same (£2.40 Parkgate to City / £4 Dayrider / £13.50 Megarider) all valid.

Full tram-train ghost running is likely to start in the next month, as more drivers are trained and passed out - along with the ECO being controlled from York R.O.C. rather than directly at Ickles Substation (this is the reason why services are only running Mon-Sat 7am-4pm at present).

So I Presume the Sheffield Bus and Tram Megarider at £14.50, Sheffield Bus and Tram Dayrider at £4.20. Also £3 return from Nunnery to Parkgate, £1.70 single will all be valid. Sheffield MegaRider Plus and MegaRider Gold's will be valid. However Sheffield Citywide Day and 7 Day tickets I presume are not valid to Parkgate!!!!!!!

Sheffield CityWide valid to Tinsley/Meadowhall South and R Connect also valid to Tinsley/Meadowhall South.
£1.80 single/£3 return will be valid Arena to Parkgate. Any further distance will be the revised £2.50 single fare or £4 dayrider.

Tram 203 / 399203 was the 1st Stadler CityLink to complete its E exam and is now back in service. Tram 201 / 399201 is currently in for its E exam and thus will be out of service for a few weeks. All 7 Stadler CityLink vehicles will be going through their E exam before the end of the year.
Also due to the complexity of the timetable and rail workings, Tram 205 / 399205 may become a 5th Tram-Train vehicle to act as an extra dedicated spare.

If the staff don’t know the fares and tickets, god help the public lol To be fair some have only just been decided, such as the new Dearne Valley Bus & Tram ticket that will be valid in the Dearne Valley MegaRider area and then on the tram as far as Tinsley/Meadowhall South. As for the launch date, this will indeed be Thursday 25th. It will be a soft public launch and there will be photo/camera crews on hand - this is the reason Thursday was chosen as it was the day available to all these. Works are almost complete now at both Parkgate and Rotherham Central, with just a few minor touches left to complete.

Has access to the station at Parkgate been sorted as until very recently the station is in an area that gets locked and has no access at times. Also the issue of parking as parkgate do not want to become a park and ride site and have stated what actions they will take should that happen.

Is the route from Rotherham going to take in Meadowhall Interchange, or will shoppers have to get off at Meadowhall South?
