Why is it “needed” on local routes, whatever is doing the 65 in its stead could be doing the local routes surely There seems to have been a move to using E200MMCs on the 65s, although there have been occasions where others, including a Solo, have been used. Maybe the intention is to move to this as a permanent allocation where possible?

If a vehicle is needed on local routes then it will be used, many times in the past vehicles have been branded for routes and used on different services its nothing new Why is it “needed” on local routes, whatever is doing the 65 in its stead could be doing the local routes surely They changed some/all the boards a few weeks back I believe, which may indicate why it’s changed-it’s start/end times may have meant it was in the ideal spot for when a 65 board started, whereas that’s changed now. At the end of the day, they can paint it whatever colour they wish, and it’s still an E200. I doubt if it’s sandwiched in or impractical to allocate at the time a 65 board needs to leave the depot, they’ll move vehicles around to release it.

I don’t know but might only be temporary I think Hull PVRs are going up and they’ve got some complicated vehicles swap like Manchester > Hull > Lincolnshire, so they might need a few vehicles to get them through the next few weeks whilst the cascade takes place?

You have to admit, the MMC400s have proven very reliable since they hit the streets of Sheffield back in October last year. I don't think I've ever seen one broken down or heard of one being out of service through a fault of their own.

The ones Chesterfield had for the X17 went through a spell recently of not being that reliable. They are 6 years old now though.
