10:19 Scunthorpe to Lincoln Central was a single 153/sardine today. Terminated at Sheffield where passengers were transferred to the usual 142.
12:14pm Sheffield to Manchester Piccadilly local stopper was done by 150220 (was quite nice actually)
3:51pm Leeds to Bradford Interchange was done by 158903 with a class 153 coupled onto the back
5:20pm Leeds to Manchester Piccadilly (TPE/Sardine Express) was a single 185 as opposed to the normal 185+185 configuration

The 15:05 YRK-SHF parliamentary train was done by a 153 today. Seemed to disappear off the face of the Earth as it said 'delayed' for a while

156414 on the 8:40 Sheffield to Liverpool Lime Street East Midlands trains journey this morning, usually 2 x 158
19:37 Sheffield to Norwich journey tonight consisted of a class 153 and a graffiti covered class 156. Not seen an EMT class 153 on this route before.
I assume EMT must have a shortage of 158s.

They have been struggling for 158 availability ever since they started the process of modifying them earlier this year so 156s have been substituting on the route pretty regularly. Class 153 on it is a new one though! Not sure if they still are but a few months ago they were using 222s for some Lincoln-Leicester services to free up 156/158s for Liverpool-Norwich.

Today the 13:30 Northern Sheffield to York working consisted of a class 144 and class 142, on Saturdays this is usually a class 158 off of the 9.15 Sheffield to Leeds and return, this week it appeared to be made of up of units off of the AM Cleethorpes and York round trips.
At York the class 142 went on to do an ECS move to Newcastle, I don't think this is a usual working linked to the journey.

Class 156 units are quite regular on these services...... Class 158 I understand they've got a back load of maintenance.... That could explain the large amount of class 156 use on these services
