The updated network maps are now all online and available to view at www.maps.sy-transport.co.ukA few notes on what has been updated below, Barnsley - Addition of services 8/8A to Worsbrough Bridge, 64 to Elsecar and services 68/68a/69 to Darfield/Great Houghton. Doncaster - Addition of service 59 to Bessacarr Grange and service 84 to Hatfield. Rotherham - Addition of service 4 to Cedar Drive, 31 to Meadowhall, 43/43a to Meadowhall and 218 to Barnsley. Old Sky Route 3,10,21,23,25 and 27 has now been split into 2 routes, one for the 3,4 and 10 and the other for the 21,23,25 and 27. Sheffield - Service 40 has being recoloured from Orange to Light Purple. Train - General Maintenance and updates. Tram - General Maintenance and updates. I have also created a brand new and user friendly Map Key which lists all the routes in each borough (for Bus maps only) and also includes a map key at the bottom. Please let me know if you spot any mistakes or have any more suggestions Once again the URL is www.maps.sy-transport.co.ukTa, Sam

Just one thing:
Is a picture on the train network map of a train that's not in service the best one?

They look much better and looking at the Rotherham and Sheffield maps there doesn't seem to be any mistakes that I can personally think of.
On the plus side, nice to see the 4 and 43/43A added to the network maps as these are quite frequent routes by Rotherham standards.

It's the first time I've seen them tonight and I have to say I'm very well impressed by them. Considering the SYPTE offer no bus network maps at all both online or in their Travel Information Centres. They are even better than the ones offered by First South Yorkshire on their Overground network and also include much more detailed information.

Not spotted any mistakes on any of the maps and keep up the great work. Is it possible to also create schematic maps rather than just spider maps as with what Stagecoach currently do in South Yorkshire?

On the tram one you missed the Park and Ride site off at Malin Bridge. Even the maps on board the trams do that as well! Apart from that, great maps.

Thanks for all your comments so far, glad to see you all appear to like them.
RD, those two maps were uploaded in error, the new maps are now online (Tram and Train).
If you have any more suggestions such as what other services could be included in the maps then list these below. Services shown on the maps (buses) are at least every 15 minutes Monday to Friday peak times.

There seems to be an error in the Doncaster one - the 14s are showing as running via Balby Road all the way to the Winning Post, when they run the same way as 16s down Broomhouse Lane before looping around Edlington.

Bit behind the times Tom! The 14 was re-routed via Tenter Lane and Edlington Lane some months after First took over the 195/196 in late 2007.

As ASO has mentioned, the 14 was re-routed quite a few years ago and now runs the same route as service 13 as far as The Cecil at Warmsworth.

They look great and I'm sure they will come in handy for some people. If only the PTE could produce half as good maps as those. Have you seen the ones in those new booklets? Shockingly poor!
