651 has now been saved and is under restoration in a site in rotherham. Official Pics to follow. This is fantastic news and look forward to reading the updates and photograhs. Is this a resurrection of the former forum preservation group or has it been bought/preserved by another group/individual.

Is this a resurrection of the former forum preservation group or has it been bought/preserved by another group/individual. It is 2 of the former members that got together and decided to go for it. Put to bed about 18:15 just before it started bucketting down at the South Yorkshire Transport Museum. Just waiting for my pics to upload to flickr. Thank you to the staff at First Group, South Yorkshire Transport Trust and South Yorkshire Transport Museum who have been very helpful and very supporting.

Great news!
Would be nice to see 651 and 2298 together when completed in their Rotherham Mainline liveries.

Agreed, at least in this livery it does not look like an extra to a Noddy programme.

Did you manage to source an old destination blind?
