Did you manage to source an old destination blind? We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

@2101 answered your question and was simply stating that sourcing a destination blind is low on the list of priorities given that the bus requires restoration before the final touches such as blinds are added.

Yes, I didn't mean to sound rude. Just not really a priority to get a destination blind, it won't be going anywhere for a long time yet and you wouldn't even be able to see it as the destination glass has a sticker over it which isn't coming off (due to the destination glass being cracked it is to be replaced when we come to refit the windows and we have not even removed them yet!)

Did not seem rude to me, just a simple statement that it was not a high priority.

please do me a favour takae those horrible L.E.D light off at the back As the bus is being "RESTORED" that is pretty obviously going to be done. This is a FULL restoration, not a paintbrush restoration like some. The owners are determined to do the job properly first time, not just tosh a bit of paint on it and get it out, and full credit to them for this.

Definitely but that isn't a priority yet. And the fibreglass rear end is to come off anyway.

I've just put some pics on flickr, plenty of work has been done but there is a hell of a lot to do and it needs to be done right. It's the first Saturday I have spent on it in as long as I can remember, working and having other commitments doesn't leave a right lot of time but we are getting there. Basically it finished service in January 2013 and we acquired it on 16/3/2013, since then we have looked at the body and underneath and know everything which needs to be done which is visible at this moment. We have taken some panels off around the rear end including the bumper, we have taken all the grab rails and bells out, we have taken all the seats out and got rid of them, we have removed the floor covering, we have removed the 4 pieces of aluminium tracking which the seats were fixed to (right job!), we have removed the heater pipes and various bits of trim. The next job is to remove the battery boost socket and then there is nothing else hindering us from removing the floor and once the floor is removed the chassis and floor bearers can be sandblasted and then welded and replaced accordingly allowing the lot to be painted, starting with Zinc Phosphate. This set of photos shows the story so far, the first 4 are from today www.flickr.com/photos/50299106@N06/sets/72157633013228836/with/9376362133/
