Wonder what fleet members will move over it would make a nice change to see centro's and tempo's I would have thought mainly solo's given that some of the routes are quite tight and carry 'Fresh air'.

Unlikely to be Solo's, unless it's the K-Line vehicles made redundant over the past year or so. Might just be an out-station with vehicles rotating from Waterloo or Honley.

More than likely an outstation of Waterloo. Would be interesting to see pay scales etc. as both Honley and Waterloo have differing pay scales (Honley is daily pay at £82 / Waterloo is hourly pay at £9.25) both of which are currently higher than the starter rates at both First and Stagecoach. West Yorkshire has always had a much better pay offer for PCV drivers anyway - hence why a lot of drivers who live in Barnsley work at either Waterloo or Belle Isle (Arriva) garages.
Another factor would be the maintenance is currently carried out at Waterloo - although Honley generally has a full time mechanic it is generally an outstation of Waterloo.

Heard the same now myself. Apparently the base will be down near the Acorn Brewery at Wombwell. Did hear the figures would be:
- £9ph for a base 45hr week - 19 buses, including some transfer of work from Waterloo - 30 platform staff required (drivers)
Not a bad starting wage, although only qualified drivers will be required as Yorkshire Tiger don't have a training department. Considering Stagecoach only pay £8.65ph (1st years service after training completed), it may attract some drivers across...

92 Barnsley - Cawthorne service also awarded to Yorkshire Tiger from the same date. Another loss for Stagecoach.
Mind you when you consider how much Yorkshire Tiger have undercut Stagecoach on some of the runs, it makes you wonder how they expect them to pay. For instance a £30k reduction on the 220 Wath to Cortonwood service.

New depot at Brinsworth near Fairways pub? Doubt very much if Tiger would move into Rotherham, too keen on tendered work.

I wonder if they will offer £10+ an hour, 6 weeks holiday plus bank holidays .......if so they might get a lot of interest.

£8.50 an hour and 20 days holiday it is. As long as drivers are willing to leave the bigger company's to work for lower cost operators then these operators will never have any incentive to offer more competitive rates. And the larger companies simply have to make savings elsewhere if they want to stay competitive when it comes to bidding for tenders.

Starts at Waterloo and transfers through staying on the same money.

My point is whilst other companies In the market offer lower rates of pay and t&c' s and staff are willing to work for these rates then companies who do offer higher rates have to make savings elsewhere to remain competitive.

You are missing the point, if I lived in Barnsley and worked for First at Rotherham, I would certainly be looking. The prospect of a commute to Sheffield every day adding about 2 hours to my working day and large fuel bills would be more than compensated by the reduction in wages. Companies do not HAVE to compete with these smaller operators ( mind since when was arriva a small operator?) they could just be very good at what they do thus retaining staff and customers. A modal shift I know.

1 Barnsley - Staincross and 32 Barnsley - Cudworth evening services which were awarded to Yorkshire Tiger, will now remain with Stagecoach on a commercial basis. The 32 however will not run past 2000 approx, replaced with a diversion to existing service 28 - the new 28C.
Also the 220 between Wath and Cortonwood will be renumbered 200 to avoid confusion between this and the existing Doncaster - Wath Stagecoach service.
