The 2005 plate will be out and about tomorrow and all next week for route learning...the rest of the fleet will start arriving at wombwell next week as they return from Blackburn refurbishes...mostly 2009 plates, a couple of 2003 plates, currently trying to find a short wheel Base solo for part of old 300 route.

Do you not have a short wheel-base Solo already on your fleet? Sure there was one with Tiger Blue before the loss of the 933 Meltham local service? Best of luck with the operation, not the best roads to operate on up towards Penistone but I'm sure they will keep presentation standards high on the vehicles.

From a few people that I know who are starting on Monday it's 8.60ph weekdays and 9.10ph weekdays. Will be 2 ROTAs apparently, with some TM Travel drivers TUPING across. 37hrs average working week. Most ex Tates drivers apparently staying at Waterloo as otherwise would take a pay cut in the transfer to Barnsley.
10 buses worth of work with a PVR of 8. 3 buses apparently out in use on Sundays and after 7pm so doesn't sound too bad. Just a shame the pay is too low.

One thing i'm struggling to understand with Yorkshire Tiger taking on these routes is driver changeover for the 23 lot of dead mileage to change drivers is it goint to be done at Penistone? Stocksbridge? Does anyone know how this will work. All other routes are easy enough & close enough to change drivers.

Probably keep the same bus allday and park up for 30 minutes or even use layover as accumulated breaks of up to 45 minutes, this means a duty can do up to 8hrs30min as long as total layover equals 45 minutes.

Thanks for explaining but there doesn't appear to be much layover & the bus will be out for more than 8.5 hours if it's going to do what i expect which will be 401 Penistone School 491 Millhouse Primary then on to 23's then 401 again for school finishing. Basically starts 0730 Floch finishes 1718 Barnsley not including Empty running time. Obviously the company know what they're doing i'm just curious(Nosey). If a bus has 5mins to wait at a terminus can this be classed as part of a drivers break? if so what if the bus is late? As i said i'm nosey sorry curious.

Yes any layover can be used as accumulated breaks, even 2 minutes. Unsure where a company stands if a driver is running late. Personally it's not something I think is right for drivers but perfectly legal under UK drivers hours regulation.

There are a couple of short solos on fleet, but need refurb work before coming to barnsley...may have to rely on arriva for support, also a short term lease has been mentioned...we will all know come Sunday.

Any confirmation on pay and conditions? Heard it's 12 hour days. Or if you get the 92A on a Sunday it's one Duty - approx 10.10 - 23.50

Friendly drivers
Messed around with the routes so they are unfathamable, older people are getting wrong services I've noticed
