95s going to be even more punctual running to Meadowhall!! True! It's a nuisance for bunching as things are - I can see three of the five buses running within a hundred yards of each other at times - nowhere to turn short (after Brook Hill roundabout), so must be a nuisance to try to regulate. Maybe there's some minor market from the edge of Kelham Island to the University that will attract a few of the lazier members of the student population (given that the 95 passes the Arts Tower etc)? I suppose the question is what will be allocated to a route that's a mixture of singles (Streetdecks on the 3 at the moment) and doubles (the 95 being mainly Geminis but gets a mixture of other vehicles)? At the moment the 3 get singles due to the low bridge at Barrow Road and there is a School Decker that runs on the 3a. So presume Singles on 95 and Doubles/Singles on 95a

Quote Duncan....
We have some of the lowest fares in the country & complain all the time.... They are just boring repetitive and enforcing the widely held views of Sheffielders
Explain to me why i have to pay £3 from Nether-edge to city, but if i care to walk down Sheldon Road to Abbey dale Road catch a bus from the bus stop just before the Broadfield Pub it will cost £2.....
So to say we have got some of the cheapest bus fares in the country is a load of old twaddle.....
That's why the public are fed up with these operators & not travelling by bus these operators know how to DESTROY BUS SERVICES........

Too many folks think 10p was and is the be all of paying a bus fare in Sheffield. Its £3:80 just to get in a Taxi, its not going to charge you £2:00 from Halfway to Crimicar Lane!.

I note you missed out my fare's comparision between Nether edge & Abbey Dale Road...... Well it appears that the Nether Edge - City fare is being reduced from £3 to £2 from September. Does that please you?

Very interesting that First 19 is being replaced in the evenings by Stagecoach 22 is this a SYPTE contract like 87b (8/8a)?
Will 87b serve Barnby Dun Road and Kirk Sandall Ind Estate or will for the first time this area have no service?

Bit of a mess - e.g. is the 1 being cut to every fifteen minutes between Chapletown and Hemsworth if the 1a's replacement is being cut to that frequency too? Or are cracks showing in the "Partnership"?
Quite an increase in Fir Vale - City services (with the 75/76 increased to every ten minutes each plus the 11/11a every eight minutes... but cuts elsewhere (97/98 down to every thirty minutes each) and various other services diverted and diverted further
Should be quite a PVR cut - is that the end of the last remaining B10BLE?

Very very soon no doubt. Same old=PVR cut to get rid of a batch of buses.

Does that please you? It does please me & the fellow passengers who live in Nether Edge all that complaining as finally payed off...... It's not before time, but it's at the expense of a reduced bus service......

I'm old enough to remember the Mainline days, when they'd order new buses as a way of withdrawing a batch of old ones - didn't realise how good we had it once upon a time!
