number 3 cancelled.. interesting development. Looks like more changes coming then! There are big changes coming to services in Sheffield. 3/3A is withdrawn and replaced with the 56 at Nether Edge and the 95/95A at Meadowhall. Herdings will be served with the new Herdings circulars 11 & 11A that will replace the 1A/56.

8, 8A cancelled in Doncaster. Any other changes coming to Donny? Isn't this what Powell's are allegedly running from September?

Interesting if that's the case with the 95... a direct link from the University to the Northern General and Meadowhall (albeit the slow way to Meadowhall!)
But if the 1a becomes Chapletown - City then where do the 18-plate Streetdecks/Streetlites go? (we'd take them on the 52 if there's any spare...)

How random will that be most people will buy a First ticket as it is the only company which runs in that area, I can't see this being very popular with most people. If I want to go Tesco at Edenthorpe and 8a came along as Powell I wouldn't be catching it.

Routes and tenders seem to change so often, or indeed be shared that although slightly more expensive Travel Masters are the way to go. Although I do think having to by a more expensive ticket is wrong on many levels, it's basically a form of insurance policy.

What is happening to the 135? Any ideas? Don't think anything happening to current 135 Sheffield, High Green, Rotherham - goes no where near Meadowhall PB0002307/268 appears to relate to 35 & 85 that appears to have been renumbered 135 in 2018? bustimes.org/registrations/PB0002307/268

The travelmaster is the standard ticket, operators offer cheaper ones for their reduced level of service. Anywhere else in the world people would be able to get their heads round it. Sadly in Sheffield (where copper wire was invented by 2 folks fighting over a penny) they have some of the lowest fares in the country and complain all the time. They are just boring, repetitive and enforcing the widely held view of Sheffielders.

It's a nuisance for bunching as things are - I can see three of the five buses running within a hundred yards of each other at times - nowhere to turn short (after Brook Hill roundabout), so must be a nuisance to try to regulate. Maybe there's some minor market from the edge of Kelham Island to the University that will attract a few of the lazier members of the student population (given that the 95 passes the Arts Tower etc)? I suppose the question is what will be allocated to a route that's a mixture of singles (Streetdecks on the 3 at the moment) and doubles (the 95 being mainly Geminis but gets a mixture of other vehicles)?
